Sager, Swisher and Company, LLP was established in 1974 by the founding partners Edward Sager and C. Edwin Swisher, III.  Today we have offices in Lancaster and Columbia, Pennsylvania, employing more than 20 highly skilled professional and support staff members that effectively address a broad range of services.

Our firm's basic philosophy is that service to each client is based on a substantive knowledge of their business and industry.  We believe this understanding of the client is of vital importance to constructive service and in carrying out assignments effectively.  Our firm seeks, through a formal education program, to achieve this understanding on a firm-wide and local-office level for each significant industry.

We perform regular and special audits of financial statements and other reports in accordance with auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America, and report on the fair presentation of financial position, results of operations, and cash flows.  The scopes of our audits are based on a complete review of accounting procedures followed, internal controls in effect, and compliance with contractual requirements.

Our firm audits numerous large and small nonprofit organizations in Lancaster and the surrounding counties. Many of these organizations are subject to the requirements of OMB Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-Profit Organizations.

We also perform audits of governmental entities such as school districts, boroughs, and townships.  Many of these entities are also subject to OMB Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments, and Non-Profit Organizations. We have experience in performing audits in accordance with GASB #34, and we prepared the first GASB #34 financial statement in the state of Pennsylvania.
